The purpose of Yoga for Self-intimacy is to give you the opportunity to safely explore who you are, to know yourself on the deepest levels. More than self-awareness, it’s a journey of self discovery that will help to build a healthier relationship with yourself, with others, and with your entire surrounding.

From the physical to the spiritual (emotional/mental/psychological) levels, the journey involves embracing the wholeness of who you are in all aspects of your being, acknowledging past wounds (physical and emotional), insecurities and fears, accepting your strengths and vulnerabilities, your abilities and your self-limitations, everything that makes you who you are.

Without judgement, we can cultivate a compassionate contemplation of ourselves, and accept ourselves as a whole, without rejecting or ignoring some parts of who we are. What we generally refer to “flaws”, “darkest desires”, – our demons – are only there to teach us something, to free us from something we didn’t understand yet. It gives us access to the full picture for us to make a real choice, not based any more on “one side of a story”, but on its entirety.

Our own darkness is only a weakness when we refuse to listen; it’s actually a powerful tool toward self-acceptance and liberation. Once you understand yourself fully – your patterns, your thinking process– once you accept that some of your reactions are the product of cultural conditioning and other subjective” points of view”, once you become aware of what is your own and what is induced by an outer influence, then you will build a healthy relationship not only with yourself and others, but with the entire world.
