Ayurveda and Yoga are both sciences that took roots in India thousands and thousands years ago. Both offer us practical and very effective tools to improve our life and health.
Seasonal changes can be an issue, and even if we are not always aware of it, these shifts have effects on our body and mind. Winter can be depressing, summer can be overwhelming, and we can struggle in spring and fall to adjust the swap.
Ayurveda sees the seasons as a great opportunity to cultivate a deep connection with ourselves in a safer way, giving us tools and wisdom to stay balanced, and healthy.
Ayurveda Seasonal Yoga will give you knowledge and a practical experience of what can be done to avoid the struggle of seasonal changes and show you how to handle them, adapting not only your yoga practice to the season, but also your daily life.
Understanding the qualities of each of these seasons can help us reduce any adverse effects. Practically, we will see how the season changes affects our body & our mind, how to choose foods and activities that will pacify and not aggravate the impact of the changes, and how to adapt our physical practice to enjoy yoga asanas all year long.
There is no scheduled practices, as each class of yoga is “automatically” designed and adapted to the current season. However, if you want to learn more, we can organize a stay to help you understand and create your own seasonal changes, according on where you live.

Now, why only 3 seasons?
Well, it makes sense if we know about the doshas principles. According to Ayurveda, 3 doshas—vata, pitta, and kapha—govern not only our own constitution, but everything else in the cosmos, as well. So instead of winter, spring, summer, and fall, the year breaks into vata season, which goes from late fall into early winter; kapha season, from the coldest part of winter into spring; and pitta season, which includes the hottest, longest days of the year—from late spring into early fall.
